How do I know if I need a filling?

During your dental examination your dentist can detect whether you have a cavity which needs to be filled.
However there may be symptoms or signs which you might experience from a tooth which need attention

  • Sensitive to hot/ cold or sweet things
  • Toothache
  • Pain on biting /chewing
  • A dark spot which you can feel or see
  • Food getting stuck
  • A broken or lost filling
  • A chipped or fractured tooth
