Fissure Sealants are a safe and painless way of protecting your teeth from decay. A sealant is a protective plastic coating, which is applied to the biting surfaces of back teeth. The sealant forms a hard shield that keeps food and bacteria from getting into the tiny grooves in the teeth and causing decay.

Why place a fissure seal?

The fissures are located on the chewing surface of a tooth. These are often narrow, winding & deep, an ideal place for bacteria to hide.
A toothbrush cannot effectively clean these areas. In these niches ,leftovers hide making these areas more prone to tooth decay

What is the advantage of a fissure seal?
  • Reduce tooth decay
  • The process is simple & pain free
  • Sealants last a long time
